Three Texas residents, Raymond Ishun Edwards, Marcus Eleby-King, and Harold Eleby-King, were sentenced on March 5 to a combined total of 273 months in federal prison for their roles in an attempted armed bank robbery, according to U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

The sentencing follows an incident that took place on September 30, 2024, when an armed Brink’s technician was servicing an ATM in Midwest City. Two masked men approached the technician; one of them, later identified as Harold Eleby-King, pointed a firearm at the victim’s head while the other, identified as Edwards, tried unsuccessfully to access the ATM. After a struggle with the technician, the suspects took his firearm and fled in a car driven by Marcus Eleby-King. The three were arrested the next day in Wichita, Kansas.

A federal Grand Jury charged all three men with attempted armed bank robbery on December 3, 2024. They pleaded guilty and admitted they knowingly tried to take money controlled by a bank using force and intimidation.

Chief U.S. District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti sentenced Edwards to serve 92 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release. Harold Eleby-King received a sentence of 97 months and Marcus Eleby-King received 84 months; both will also serve three years of supervised release after their prison terms.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with police departments from Midwest City and Wichita. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Nichols Jr. prosecuted the case.
