A Stillwater man, Flint Donavan Luster, 37, has been sentenced to 70 months in federal prison after being convicted by a jury for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. U.S. District Judge Sara E. Hill also ordered four years of supervised release following his prison term.
Evidence presented during the trial showed that in September 2023, Luster was stopped by a Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputy for a traffic violation. The deputy discovered the truck he was driving had been reported stolen and took him into custody. A search of the vehicle led deputies to find a puzzle box containing 437 grams of methamphetamine.
Law enforcement officers testified about an earlier search warrant at Luster’s residence, where they found items indicating drug distribution activities, including scales, firearms, cash, and additional methamphetamine. Further testimony revealed that Luster obtained methamphetamine in Tulsa and distributed it in smaller communities.
Luster will remain in custody until he is transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Payne County Sheriff’s Office, and Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Adam Bailey and Attila Bogdan prosecuted the case.
