Brandon Scott Waldon, a 44-year-old resident of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

According to court documents, Waldon was previously convicted of second-degree rape in Seminole County on August 29, 2002. As a result of that conviction, he was required to register as a sex offender. Authorities allege that between October 2 and December 11, 2025, Waldon failed to update his registration while entering, leaving, or residing in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case was investigated by the United States Marshal Service Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Waldon’s guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after consideration of federal sentencing guidelines and other legal factors.

Waldon is being held in custody by the United States Marshals Service until sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Wittlinger represented the government in this case.
