Seminole County man pleads guilty to arson in Indian Country

Robby Dewayne Tiger, a 41-year-old resident of Seminole County, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to one count of arson in Indian Country. The charge carries a potential life sentence. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the plea.

According to the indictment, Tiger set fire to a dwelling on December 6, 2024. This act was described as willful and malicious and placed someone’s life in danger. The incident took place within the boundaries of the Seminole Nation Reservation in Seminole County.

The investigation into this crime was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Seminole Lighthorse Police.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Tiger’s guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered.

A U.S. District Court Judge will decide on Tiger’s sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors.

Tiger is currently held by the United States Marshals Service while awaiting sentencing.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kevin Gross and Jacob Parker.
