Jackie Leon Parker, Jr., a 51-year-old resident of Morris, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on Apr. 17 to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charge carries a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case stems from an indictment alleging that Parker knowingly possessed a bolt-action rifle on October 7, 2025, after previously being convicted of an offense punishable by more than one year in prison. The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Parker’s plea and ordered that a presentence investigation report be completed. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after consideration of federal sentencing guidelines and statutory factors. Until sentencing is finalized, Parker will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service.
