Three Oklahoma residents have been sentenced to a total of 26 years in federal prison for distributing fentanyl that resulted in an overdose death, according to U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
Court records indicate that Joseph Preston Anderson, 37, and Tiffani Amber Stevens, 31, both of Oklahoma City, conspired to distribute fentanyl beginning at least in September 2023. On December 3, 2023, Anderson and Stevens provided fentanyl powder to Kalub Lynn Robinson, 30, of Blanchard. Robinson then distributed the drug to another individual the following day; the recipient died as a result of using the fentanyl.
Despite knowledge of the fatal overdose, Anderson and Stevens continued selling fentanyl into January 2024. Both were charged with drug conspiracy in May 2025 and pleaded guilty. Robinson was charged with distribution of fentanyl on October 22, 2024, and has also pleaded guilty.
At sentencing hearings held on September 15, 2025 before U.S. District Judge David L. Russell, Anderson received a sentence of 180 months (15 years), Stevens was sentenced to serve 72 months (6 years), and Robinson was given a sentence of 60 months (5 years) in federal prison. Each will serve three years of supervised release following their prison terms. The court ordered restitution payments totaling $8,176.80 among all defendants.
In his remarks during sentencing Judge Russell stated: “the circumstances were ‘tragic beyond belief’” and emphasized “that the world must know that there are significant consequences for dealing fentanyl.”
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The case highlights efforts connected to the DEA’s “One Pill Can Kill” campaign which seeks to educate about risks associated with counterfeit pills containing fentanyl; more information is available at https://www.dea.gov/onepill.
