A woman accused of arson and shooting into a Tulsa home daycare has been added to Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s 10 Most Wanted list. The initiative seeks public assistance in locating individuals wanted for serious crimes.

Alexis Elizabeth Jean Blackmon, 39, is facing charges related to a July 19, 2024 incident. Authorities allege that Blackmon set fire to her own home and fired a weapon into a neighboring residence operating as a daycare. At the time of the gunfire, twelve people were inside, most of them children.

Blackmon previously served a prison sentence in Kansas after being convicted of second-degree murder in 2008.

Attorney General Drummond announced that his office is offering up to $5,000 for information leading directly to Blackmon’s arrest.

“This individual should be considered armed and dangerous. By adding her to this high-profile list, we urge anyone who has information about Ms. Blackmon’s whereabouts to come forward,” Drummond said. “She is a threat to public safety and needs to be brought to justice.”

The 10 Most Wanted program was launched in September 2024 with the aim of highlighting violent fugitives and encouraging tips from the community. Since its inception, sixteen fugitives have been apprehended through the program. More information can be found at the Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted page.
