Kayvan Karya Rasolkhani, a 46-year-old liquor store owner from Norman, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

According to court documents, before October 2025, Rasolkhani communicated with an undercover FBI agent on an online messaging site. During these conversations, he showed interest in meeting the agent for the purpose of sexually assaulting two fictitious children created by law enforcement. On October 15, 2025, the FBI executed search warrants on Rasolkhani’s person, vehicle, home, and workplace at University Liquor. Agents seized a cell phone containing videos and images of child pornography.

Rasolkhani was formally charged on January 22, 2026. In court today, he admitted to knowingly possessing images depicting child pornography that included prepubescent minors. He could face up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of as much as $250,000 at sentencing.

The case was investigated by the FBI Oklahoma City Field Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan Ganz.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a Department of Justice initiative that brings together federal, state, and local agencies to address child sexual exploitation and abuse online and identify victims nationwide. More information about PSC can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
