A Muskogee resident has been sentenced to 29 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing ammunition. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that DaQurius Razjoune Johnson, also known as Daquarius Razjoune Johnson, age 33, received the sentence for one count of felon in possession of ammunition.

The case was investigated by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. According to investigators, law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence in Muskogee County on July 24, 2024, where they found Johnson with 35 rounds of ammunition. At that time, Johnson had a previous conviction for a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.

Johnson pleaded guilty on June 5, 2025. The sentencing hearing was overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Johnson will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his sentence, which does not allow parole.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jacob R. Parker and Edith A. Singer prosecuted the case.
