A Mexican national has been sentenced for unlawful reentry into the United States after being deported four times. U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson announced that Rodrigo Chacon Villegas, 36, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell for the unlawful reentry of a removed alien.

Chacon Villegas will serve 18 months in the United States Bureau of Prisons and three years of supervised release. After his release, he is expected to face removal proceedings once again.

In December 2024, immigration officials located Chacon Villegas at the Tulsa County Jail following his arrest in November for driving a stolen vehicle and possessing methamphetamine and marijuana. In state court, he received a two-year suspended sentence in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty.

Records indicate that Chacon Villegas is a Mexican national who has been deported from the United States four times previously.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Michele Hulgaard prosecuting.
