ADRIAN GOMEZ-OSORIO, 40, from Mexico, has been sentenced to 64 months in federal prison for reentering the United States illegally after a prior removal. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

Public records indicate that Gomez-Osorio was found in the United States on October 17, 2024, despite being removed to Mexico on July 2, 2020. He was apprehended by immigration authorities following his arrest and charges in Oklahoma County District Court for acquiring proceeds from drug activity and trafficking fentanyl, which he was convicted of under case number CF-2024-5079.

On November 19, 2024, a federal Grand Jury charged him with illegal reentry into the United States after a previous removal. Gomez-Osorio pleaded guilty on February 14, 2025, admitting to knowingly reentering without proper consent.

At the sentencing hearing on July 23, 2025, U.S. Chief District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti imposed a sentence of 64 months in federal prison. In his remarks during sentencing, Judge DeGiusti emphasized the importance of promoting respect for the law and protecting the public from future offenses by Gomez-Osorio.

The investigation leading to this case was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon prosecuted the case.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at addressing illegal immigration and eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) to protect communities from violent crime perpetrators.
