Allan Wayne Hilton, also known as Alan Wayne Hilton, Terry L. Leonard, and Allen Wayne Hilton, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Hilton, 67, from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, admitted guilt to one count of Failure to Register under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. This offense carries a possible sentence of up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

According to court documents, Hilton was required to register as a sex offender after his conviction on three counts of rape in Miller County, Arkansas on February 25, 1993. The indictment stated that between June 20, 2023 and June 10, 2025, Hilton failed to update his registration while entering or residing in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Hilton’s plea and ordered a presentence investigation report be completed.

A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Hilton will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Emily Wittlinger and Dak T. Cohen prosecuted the case for the government.
