Man pleads guilty to illegal firearm possession in Oklahoma

Tyrone Noble, 58, has pleaded guilty to a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. This offense carries a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

The indictment against Noble detailed that he was found with a 12-gauge shotgun and five rounds of ammunition on December 2, 2024. At the time, he had previously been convicted of an offense punishable by more than one year in prison.

This case was investigated by the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered.

A U.S. District Court Judge will decide Noble’s sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors. Until then, Noble remains in custody under the United States Marshals Service.
