Isaiah Lynn Wood, a 22-year-old resident of Overbrook, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison for discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Wood pleaded guilty on May 12, 2025, to using, carrying, brandishing, and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a violent crime. The incident took place on February 17, 2025. According to investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Love County Sheriff’s Office, Wood parked near an Overbrook residence before entering undetected with a Glock 45 semi-automatic pistol. Once inside the home, he threatened one resident, assaulted another individual, fired his weapon twice—striking a third person—and then barricaded himself inside the house. A Love County deputy responded to an emergency call and took Wood into custody at the scene.
The sentencing hearing was overseen by U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour from the Western District of Washington, who was sitting by assignment. Wood will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transferred to a Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his sentence without parole.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan represented the government in this case.
