A resident of Spiro, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual abuse in Indian Country. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Ronald Craig Summers, 34, admitted guilt to a superseding indictment charging him with engaging in a sexual act with a person under the age of 12 between January 2024 and October 7, 2024.

The offense took place in LeFlore County within the Choctaw Nation Reservation. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Human Services.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted Summers’ plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after reviewing federal guidelines and statutory factors.

Summers faces a sentence ranging from 30 years to life in prison and a fine up to $250,000. He remains in custody of the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Morgan Muzljakovich and Nicole Paladino are representing the government in this case.
