Jefferson County man pleads guilty to firearm possession linked to drug trafficking

A resident of Ringling, Oklahoma, Zachery David Parker, age 38, has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm offense. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Parker entered a plea to one count of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking Crime. This charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a potential fine of up to $250,000.

According to the indictment, on May 7, 2025, Parker knowingly possessed nine firearms as part of drug trafficking activities. The firearms included various shotguns, rifles, and pistols: one 20 gauge break-open shotgun; one .410 gauge bolt-action shotgun; two .22 caliber semi-automatic rifles; one 5.56x45mm caliber semi-automatic rifle; one .32ACP caliber semi-automatic pistol; one .45ACP caliber semi-automatic pistol; one .40S&W caliber semi-automatic pistol; and one .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

The investigation was conducted by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Parker’s plea and ordered a presentence investigation report.

A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the final sentence after reviewing sentencing guidelines and other legal considerations.

Parker is being held by the United States Marshals Service while awaiting sentencing.
