Matthew Carl Wilson and Candice Marie Logan, both residents of Hugo, Oklahoma, have been sentenced in federal court for transporting stolen goods across state lines. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the sentences following guilty pleas from both individuals earlier this year.

Wilson pleaded guilty on April 3, 2025, to one count of Interstate Transportation of Stolen Goods. He received a sentence of 30 months in prison and was ordered to pay restitution totaling $285,749.45. Logan pleaded guilty on April 15, 2025, to the same charge and was sentenced on August 19, 2025, to eight months in prison with a restitution order of $45,067.00.

The case stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department, and the Paris, Texas Police Department. Authorities stated that on January 16, 2024, Wilson and Logan knowingly transported stolen industrial radio equipment from Hugo, Oklahoma to Paris, Texas.

“The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma,” presided over the sentencing hearings. “Wilson and Logan will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.”

“Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob R. Parker represented the United States.”
