Henrry Dany Herrera-Hernandez, also known as Henrry Herrera Hernandez, a 52-year-old Honduran national, was sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry into the United States. The sentencing took place in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Herrera-Hernandez had previously been removed from the United States on December 24, 2019. On June 17, 2025, he was found in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma without obtaining permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission. He pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry on July 29, 2025.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division and the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the press release: “This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

The hearing was overseen by U.S. District Judge John F. Heil III in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Cornell represented the government during proceedings.
