Tyler Dee Baker, a 33-year-old resident of McCurtain, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. This plea is in response to an indictment alleging that Baker did not comply with registration requirements from November 2024 until February 19, 2025. He was previously convicted of First Degree Rape in Oklahoma on May 7, 2010.

The investigation leading to the charge was conducted by the U.S. Marshals Service. The Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Baker’s guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation report.

Baker faces a potential sentence of up to ten years in prison. A U.S. District Court Judge will decide the final sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Until sentencing, Baker will remain in custody under the United States Marshals Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Pippin represented the prosecution.
