Gustavo Gordillo, a 42-year-old Guatemalan national, has admitted guilt in a case involving the production of child pornography. This development was announced by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

The charges against Gordillo were formalized on February 20, 2025, when a federal Grand Jury issued a four-count indictment. The charges included production, transportation, distribution, and possession of child pornography. According to an affidavit from a previously filed criminal complaint, investigators from the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) received a cyber tip in July 2020 about files containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) uploaded to a Google Photos account. It was later determined that Gordillo was responsible for uploading these files and resided in Oklahoma City.

Further investigation revealed that Gordillo had communicated with a child living out of state and exchanged CSAM with the minor. Law enforcement’s efforts led them to a residence linked to Gordillo in the Oklahoma City metro area where he was apprehended by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and OCPD on January 29, 2025.

The affidavit also notes that Gordillo had entered the United States on a temporary visa which had since expired.

On June 12, 2025, Gordillo pleaded guilty to Count 1 of the indictment. He admitted to using a child for sexually explicit conduct to produce CSAM. His sentencing could result in imprisonment ranging from 15 to 30 years and a fine up to $250,000.

This case stems from an investigation conducted by HSI and OCPD and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon.

It is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at addressing illegal immigration and combating cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.
