Tyrone Noble, 59, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police Department. Law enforcement officials reported that on December 2, 2024, Noble was found with a 12-gauge shotgun and five rounds of Winchester 12-gauge ammunition. At that time, he had already been convicted of an offense punishable by more than one year in prison.

Noble pleaded guilty to the charge on June 25, 2025. This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, which is a national initiative using Department of Justice resources to address illegal immigration issues and combat cartels and transnational criminal organizations while seeking to protect communities from violent crime.

Judge Robert J. Shelby from the United States District Court for the District of Utah presided over the hearing in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Noble will stay in U.S. Marshals Service custody until he is transported to a federal facility to serve his sentence without parole.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Gross represented the government during this case.
