Federal grand jury returns indictments on firearms offenses and other federal crimes

United States Attorney Clint Johnson has announced the indictments handed down by the December 2025-A session of the Federal Grand Jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma. The indictments charge several individuals with various violations of federal law. Each defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Among those indicted is Roy C Adams, 34, from Tulsa, who faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Tulsa Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Flesher is prosecuting this case.

Andres Avila Pineda, 48, a Mexican national, and Anthony Avila, 22, from Houston, Texas, are charged with conspiring to traffic firearms. Andres Avila Pineda also faces an additional count for possessing a firearm while unlawfully residing in the United States. The ATF and Homeland Security Investigations led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys John W. Dowdell and Kenneth Elmore are prosecuting.

Jose Cruz-Cordova, 37, a Mexican national, is accused of unlawful reentry into the United States after removal in October 2019. Homeland Security Investigations handled this case with prosecution by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ammon Brisolara.

Adrian Parker Gaines, 38, from Grove, is charged with producing child pornography involving a minor child. The FBI investigated this matter and Assistant U.S. Attorney Kate Brandon is prosecuting.

Nieves Norberto Garcia-Rodriguez, 44, also a Mexican national, was indicted for unlawfully reentering the country after removals in September 2010 and December 2015. Homeland Security Investigations led this investigation; Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron Jolly is handling prosecution.

Leonel Longoria-Quirino, 32, another Mexican national named in these indictments, faces charges for unlawful reentry after his removal in October 2017. This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and will be prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron Jolly.

Waymer Emeterio Orozco-Orozco, 27, from Guatemala, has been charged with possessing a firearm while unlawfully present in the United States as well as unlawful reentry following removal in January 2019. Homeland Security Investigations conducted this investigation; Assistant U.S. Attorney Augustus Forster will prosecute.

Sequoyah Blake Tanner, 23, from Tulsa and identified as a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, faces indictment for involuntary manslaughter in Indian Country related to driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol resulting in death of Zion Joseph Sier. The FBI and Tulsa Police Department jointly investigated; prosecution will be led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Niko Boulieris.

Rovin Alexail Vasquez-Cinto, 27-year-old Guatemalan national was indicted for possessing a firearm while unlawfully present in the United States following an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations; Assistant U.S. Attorney Augustus Forster is prosecuting.

“The return of an indictment is a method of informing a defendant of alleged violations of federal law,” said Johnson’s office statement.” which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant’s presumption of innocence.”

Jimcy McGirt has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison after violating sex offender registration laws and breaching conditions set after an earlier conviction involving aggravated sexual abuse of a minor in Indian Country. Authorities emphasize strict enforcement against such violations as part of community protection efforts.
