Cody Michael DeGraw, a 30-year-old resident of Coweta, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
DeGraw pleaded guilty on July 10, 2025. Investigators stated that between December 30, 2023, and February 27, 2025, DeGraw accessed and possessed images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Authorities recovered a total of 161 images from his cellular phones.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. According to the Department of Justice, Project Safe Childhood brings together federal, state, and local resources to find and prosecute individuals who exploit children and to help victims. Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing in Muskogee. DeGraw will remain in custody until he is transferred to a Bureau of Prisons facility where he will serve his sentence without parole.
