Coalgate resident pleads guilty to possessing stolen firearm

Treyian Jamal Mason, also known as Tray Mason, 22, from Coalgate, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen firearm. This charge could result in a prison sentence of up to ten years and a fine of $250,000.

According to the indictment, Mason was found in possession of a stolen semi-automatic pistol on February 13, 2025. He allegedly knew or had reasonable cause to believe that the firearm was stolen.

The case is the result of an investigation conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies including the Coalgate Police Department, Coal County Sheriff’s Office, Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Mason’s plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered to be completed before sentencing.

A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Mason’s sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors. Until then, Mason remains in custody under the United States Marshals Service.
