Ryan Duke Haight, a 45-year-old resident of Claremore, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of abusive sexual contact with a minor. The sentencing follows his conviction by a federal jury in May. A post-trial order acquitted Haight of one additional count.
U.S. District Judge Frizzell also ordered Haight to serve 15 years of supervised release after completing his prison term. Haight will be required to register as a sex offender and pay $3,353.70 in restitution. He will remain in custody until he is transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
Evidence presented during the trial showed that Haight made inappropriate sexual comments to the 14-year-old victim and engaged in escalating physical contact over several months. In spring 2024, the physical abuse intensified when Haight touched the victim under her clothing on multiple occasions while driving her home. In July 2024, he sexually abused her under the pretense of giving her a massage as a “prize” for winning a bet.
The case was investigated by the FBI and Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. Prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Stephen Scaife and Kate Brandon.
