Checotah man pleads guilty to meth distribution charge

Andrew Frank Lerblance, also known as Andrew Frank Lerblance Jr., aged 66 and residing in Checotah, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a charge of distributing methamphetamine. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the plea related to a one-count Information of Distribution of Methamphetamine. This charge could result in a prison term ranging from 5 to 40 years and a fine of up to $5 million.

The Information specifies that on October 3, 2023, Lerblance knowingly distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine within the Eastern District of Oklahoma. This substance is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance.

The case emerged from an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration alongside the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted Lerblance’s plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and ordered a presentence investigation report.

A U.S. District Court Judge will later decide on Lerblance’s sentence after evaluating the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory considerations. Until sentencing, Lerblance remains in custody under the United States Marshals Service.
