Marissa Laneau Dill, a 38-year-old resident of Caddo, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on Mar. 31 to charges of involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case involves the deaths of a victim and an unborn child as well as injuries to two others. The charges stem from a motor vehicle incident that occurred on May 5, 2025, in Bryan County within the Choctaw Nation Reservation.

According to court documents, Dill was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter in Indian Country and one count of involuntary manslaughter of an unborn child in Indian Country. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine. She also pleaded guilty to two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury in Indian Country; each count is punishable by up to ten years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

The indictment alleges that Dill unlawfully killed both victims while failing to devote full time and attention to driving and operating her vehicle under the influence of an intoxicating substance other than alcohol. The indictment further states she operated her vehicle left of center without due caution or circumspection.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Dill’s plea and ordered completion of a presentence investigation report.

Dill remains free on bond under conditions pending sentencing by a U.S. District Court Judge who will consider federal sentencing guidelines before imposing sentence.
