Sean Paul Duer, a 58-year-old resident of Durant, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 75 months in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The sentence was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case stemmed from an investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Durant Police Department. Authorities reported that on May 15, 2024, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on Duer’s impounded vehicle. During the search, they found approximately 33 grams of white crystalline methamphetamine hidden inside a door panel.

Duer pleaded guilty to the charge on May 8, 2025. The sentencing hearing was overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White in Muskogee. According to officials, Duer will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a federal prison facility to serve his non-paroleable sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard J. Lorenz prosecuted the case for the government.
