A Colbert, Oklahoma resident has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm offense, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Justin Eagle Chambers, 39, entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person. The offense carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The indictment stated that on March 26, 2025, Chambers knowingly possessed a pistol and ammunition after having been given notice at a hearing that he was subject to a court order. This order restrained him from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or engaging in conduct that could cause reasonable fear of bodily injury. The order also explicitly prohibited the use or threatened use of physical force.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Achille Police Department.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Chambers’ plea and ordered that a presentence investigation report be prepared. A U.S. District Court Judge will determine the sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Chambers is being held by the United States Marshals Service until sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan represented the government in this matter.
