Dale Lynn Taylor, a 60-year-old resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release for failing to register as a sex offender. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Taylor pleaded guilty on March 19, 2025, to one count of failure to register as a sex offender. Authorities said that Taylor had previously been convicted of Rape-Second Degree in Oklahoma on May 28, 2014. As a result of his conviction, he was required to register as a sex offender but failed to do so from April 2, 2019, until July 8, 2024. During this period, Taylor entered, left, or resided in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma without updating his registration.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.

U.S. District Judge John F. Heil III presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Taylor will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a designated Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his sentence without parole.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Dak T. Cohen represented the government in this case.
