Attorney General Gentner Drummond has announced recent changes in the leadership team at the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General.

Phil Bacharach has stepped down from his role as director of communications. Shauna Peters will take over the position. Peters brings experience from both public and private sectors, most recently serving as deputy director for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where she managed communications, legislation, and strategic engagement.

Drummond also named Stephanie Alexander as deputy chief of staff. She will work with Chief of Staff Rob Johnson. Alexander previously managed Drummond’s gubernatorial campaign and led a political consulting firm. In 2020, she was chief of staff for President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign and served as battleground states director during Trump’s 2016 presidential run, coordinating rallies across the country.

Bacharach will continue to serve as a senior advisor to the Attorney General’s Office. Alexander will also act as an advisor for Drummond’s campaign.
