Ardmore man sentenced to over five years for sexual abuse in Indian Country

A resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for sexual abuse. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Todd Philip Wilkerson, 54, received the sentence after pleading guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse in Indian Country.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department, and the Ardmore Police Department. According to investigators, on March 26, 2025, Wilkerson engaged in sexual contact with a victim who could not understand or refuse participation due to incapacity. The incident took place in Carter County within the Chickasaw Nation Reservation.

Wilkerson pleaded guilty on July 9, 2025. The sentencing hearing was overseen by Senior District Judge Ronald A. White at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Wilkerson will remain in U.S. Marshals Service custody until he is transferred to a Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his sentence without parole.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Morgan Muzljakovich and Nicole Paladino prosecuted the case.
