Ada man pleads guilty to two federal assault charges

Isaiah Marshall Harjo, a 28-year-old resident of Ada, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to two federal assault charges in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charges include one count of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury in Indian Country and one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Do Bodily Harm in Indian Country. Each charge carries a potential penalty of up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

According to the indictment, on September 25, 2025, Harjo assaulted one victim causing serious bodily injury and on the same day assaulted a second victim using a dangerous weapon with intent to cause bodily harm. The incidents took place in Pontotoc County within the Chickasaw Nation Reservation.

The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Ada Police Department.

Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Harjo’s plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors.

Harjo remains in custody under the supervision of the United States Marshals Service while awaiting sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan is representing the government in this case.
